IRSE Website Discussion Forum - Peter - 07-05-2012 The IRSE has recently set up a series of categories on its new discussion forum. The following advert was in the recent edition of IRSE news and on the forum itself: "The Discussion Forum is for use by IRSE members only. So far the following topics have been set up: General, Younger Members, IRSE Exam, Minor Railways and myPath. The General topic can be used for posts concerning industry, institution and website matters. We intend to gauge the level of response to the forum and the way in which members use it after an initial period and, if required, make appropriate adjustments. Any views / suggestions are welcome via the General topic of the forum." You will need to log into the IRSE website (hence needing to be a member) to access the forum. RE: IRSE Website Discussion Forum - Jerry1237 - 22-05-2012 Peter, Can you confirm that IRSEExam.co.uk will continue in its current guise? If the same form and accessibility is available from IRSE, we may revisit it, but your thoughts as users would be welcome. I can't see the condition being satisfied for the foreseeable future. RE: IRSE Website Discussion Forum - Jerry1237 - 28-05-2012 Indeed. The current forum format in the IRSE forums appear to not be scalable or suitable to cover the level, quantity and variety of posts on this forum. I have suggest the IRSE link directly to this rather than try a spin off forum as not everyone who wishes to participate is a member of the Institution and the IRSE's forums are for Institution members only. |
