Hi there, what is the best way to gain evidence towards a project engineers license, whilst currently working as an Installation Supervisor/Team Leader, many thanks

The thing to do is carefully read all the Competency Assessment Criteria, and see elements might be able to be met from the job role you are currently undertaking.
On the face of it I wouldn't have expected that an Installation Supervisor would be undertaking all the activities needed to acquire the licence, but I can imagine that some elements would be covered. However have a look at the CACs for other licences- I guess that there would be a more appropriate licence for you.

Beyond what PJW suggested, licenses are the same as the exam. They are both vocational.
The more experience you have of the task at the right level, the easier it is to demonstrate it. It is rare that a PE will necessarily cover all the criteria in their day job and may have to request tasks outside their remit to gain the correct experience[s].
The CAC [and exam syllabus] are good places to start just as the EC(UK) criteria are for EngTech/IEng/CEng.

What do you mean, has anything changed? The core intent of licensing is the same as are the general principles. The CACs for some categories will have been updated as part of the normal course of review.
