The plan for 2017 - PJW - 06-01-2017
Yet to be put into place but beginnning to discuss shortly.
Assume that the Exam Review will be taking place late Feb / early March shortly after the expected date of publication of the 2016 results.
Would hope that we will be able to arrange a mod 1/7 Saturday, perhaps in April.
Similarly would intend a mod 2/3/5 weekend in late June / early July.
It'd be nice to think that we might also manage a mod4/6 event for the first time ever.
For these to come to fruition will need
- Companies prepared to sponsor,
- Volunteers to organise, administrate and deliver
- People to want to come and participate

Will offer assistance in Derby if possible (middle of SunSport Velo's season and TdF!). Can we agree a date as early as practical please and I think June would be preferred to July.

I am happy (in principle) to help out in Derby as per the last couple of years, provided it happens before (Leicestershire) school holidays begin.

I think the best weekend might be either:
17/18 [T-16]
or
24/25 [T-15]
The first of these does clash with Father's Day, but I assume that is preferable to scheduling against a major sporting event: FA Cup Final, Wimbledon, Tour de France..........
This would place the event just prior to the cut-off deadline for applying to sit the October exam rather than just afterwards, but no harm in that- could even be seen to be an advantage.
Expect an invite to participate in a conference call in the next few weeks to do a lessons learnt from Signet 2016 and begin to plan for 2017.

We settled on the first weekend of July; effectively the same one as last year.
The flyer was distributed at last week's YM AGM / Seminar / Review of 2016 exam and attached here; in the course of time it should make it to an IRSE mailing, but if you are interested in attending there is no point delaying and suggest completing the downloaded form and emailing it accordingly.
We have included an option for volunteering to assist at the event; those who have been involved in discussions over the date are already anticipated and therefore don't need to bother with the form.
