ANyone else doing 4 modules in 2018 Exam or am I the only one glutton for punishment - hayesip - 01-10-2018

With just a few days to go until the 2018 exam, I thought I'd better introduce myself. I'm a railway signalling engineer based in Brisbane Australia and will be sitting the exam in Melbourne (closest place to Brisbane).

I'm sitting Mod 1, Mod 2, Mod 3 and Mod 5 so it will be a full day of exams for me. Nothing like getting it over with quickly.

Good luck to everyone sitting this year's exam wherever in the world that may be.

cheers Ian

Good luck. It is a very physically demanding day doing all four. Take plenty of refreshments with you, relax in the breaks and use the reading time well. Let us know how you get on.

Good luck, from across the pond. I'm doing Mod 1 and 2 here in London - didn't want to bite off more than I can chew. Fair play for doing it the hard way though Smile

Well it's all over here in Australia. I sat the 4 exams and hopefully I've passed. Time will tell.
Good luck everybody.

Fingers crossed Ian, I also attempted 4 modules which meant for a very long day!

Thoughts on the module 2 layout were that it seemed much busier than previous years! Got it finished though but now can't keep potential mistakes out of my head!

Also thought the Mod 2 (rapid transit) layout felt very different to previous years. Felt I did it justice, but it is hard not to dwell on areas for improvement! Good luck all!

I have only just picked up on your comment about locations. I guess it is academic where you need to travel to if you need to travel because there is not a centre in your city, however it is not great that you need to travel vast distances. I am not sure how many take the exam over here and what the volunteer rate is for running the exam centres. I guess it does not help it being on a Friday as opposed to the normal Saturday (and hence a working day for both potential invigilators and meeting rooms to hold the candidates). If I have not gone home this time next year, we could get another centre hosted.
