Practicing writing is a big deal and don't underestimate it. People don't really write that much in the modern office. When I took the exam I had most of my learning done by end August - September was about practicing exam technique and speed answering/writing. Like an athlete you need to do your base miles, and then polish off on the technique as the race/exam approaches.
