Delivering complex projects is a big enough challenge before the additional complexity of the railway environment and industry is added to the mix. Often different stakeholders have different priorities and within delivery teams the world of the project manager can be quite different to the world of the engineers.
We have previous had presentations on applying systems engineering to railway projects. A systems approach can also be applied with advantage to the overall management arrangements for delivering projects
