Could anyone has experience to share the stages to migrate fixed signalling system to a CBTC system? During the migration, the operating railway maintains non-break service with mixed fleet operation proposed. Of course, some parts of certain stations platforms given up for construction work is allowed.

Henry
A very good question and one that is going to be facing many in their work over the next decade. The UK mainline hasn't really faced this yet (well apart from this was the intention for West Coast some years ago until pragmatism intervened) but is beginning to re-visit. The experience you seek will need to come from the Metro world I think; I am looking forward to learning from it.
Absolutely the sort of question that could appear in the IRSE Exam, perhaps mod1, mod3, mod5 or mod7 depending on the precise slant given to the wording.
