Westpac Interlocking
#4
I am afraid that I do not have information in a form that can be readily shared. If you are interested in expanding your knowledge of items mechanical to the 1970s generation of relay circuits then I'd recommend the series of IRSE "little green books" (imperial sized of course but approx A5). Original copies do tend to come up for sale on Ebay surprisingly often, but actually there have been much more recent reprints (typically a set of four combined in one publication) that I think are obtainable from the IRSE amongst other places. These won't give detail but a good overview.

There are courses still run in the UK for these systems but very much geared to fault finding for the maintenance staff who have to keep the remaining population serviceable until their time comes to be replaced. However I can't help thinking that your learning energies are best directed to something either
a) more modern technology, or
b) more basic signalling to get a firm understanding of the core.
I do see the value in understanding the essence of mechanical interlocking or some "plain and simple" relay circuits, but the geographical systems are neither the one nor the other- very difficult to get your head around without spending ages immersed in them- at least the drawings for WestPak weren't as bad as for the GEC system which attempted to get everything you wanted to see on the same sheet but at the cost of needing an very large amount of floor to lay it out on- unwieldy to say the least!

Reality, I have not involving the work now but If had the opportunity to do some minor alterations at particularly fringe what must be know to start.

If you provide any material or documents regarding the existing systems(GRI) from mechainical lever to MAS is much appreciated.

Thanks,
